• Madhukar N Hiregange, B.Com., FCA, DISA(ICAI), is the partner of Hiregange & Associates, Chartered Accountants, Bangalore which is a firm providing consultancy and audit services in the areas of Excise, Service Tax and VAT.   A regular contributor of articles to various professional and trade journals. He has jointly authored two editions of a book on Modvat, published by Bharat Law House, New Delhi and six editions of book on Central Excise Law and Procedures published by Centax Publications, New Delhi. Sectoral books like Central Excise made Simple for Chartered Accountants and Impact of Central Excise on Textile Industry have been his other efforts in recent years. Service tax made Simple authored by him was published by Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association. K.VAT law and Procedure to be published by IBH Publications.
  He has been active in the field of spreading awareness on Indirect tax by conducting seminars and presenting papers. Visiting faculty for PGDMA course of Xaviers Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, MP Birla Institute for Management Studies, ICFAI, Bangalore, ICSI, Bangalore, Mahaveer Academy of Technological Studies,IIM Bangalore, MDP of the Bangalore Branch of ICAI and at Akshara Academy at Jayanagar. He has also coached the Officers of the Central Excise and Service Tax Department.
  He has also been associated with the Industry Associations like FKCCI, PIA , LUB and KASSIA.
• Rajesh Kumar T. R., B.Com., LLB, ACA, DISA(ICA) ( passed CS Inter) aged 29 years has concentrated in Central Excise and Service Tax Law and procedures trained in central excise audit as a preventive control. Completed his schooling & Graduation in Tumkur. Qualified in January 2002. He is the partner of Hiregange & Associates, Chartered Accountants, Bangalore and is representing before the Tribunal.
  He has written many articles on Central Excise published in various professional journals and presented papers in Seminars. He has helped the authors in authoring Four editions of a book on Central Excise Law and Procedure, published by Centax Publications P Ltd., New Delhi, one book on Central Excise Audit and one book on Central Excise Made Simple.
  He is also a joint author of the Book Central Excise Made Simple for Textile Industry and Service Tax made simple as well as Karnataka VAT Law & Procedures. The Author has contributed substantially for compiling the C.A. Final Study Material on Indirect Taxes in 2001.
  The author is also visiting faculty for MBA course of MP Birla Institute for Management Studies, Bangalore and Siddaganga School of Management, Tumkur and Sri Siddartha Institute of Management, Tumkur.
